It's been fun!

Hey everyone, it's been quite a while since I've had this server up and running and even longer since I've posted something here. I just wanted to say that, officially, the PureMinecraft server is dead. It looks like this blog still has a decent amount of traffic so I'm outright asking if anyone out there wants me to make this a thing again.

I'll get a server spun up for a pure (no mods) Minecraft if there is demand for it. Just let me know by messaging me or commenting.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thanks everyone; I've had a great time!

I Think I'll Go For A Walk

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm not dead (and neither is the server). The server went offline some time ago and I just assumed that no one was using it anymore. Well, according to Google analytics some of you continue to check this blog and I have to assume that means you guys haven't died yet either.

To the point: I updated the server and it's back up and running. My sincerest apologies for being a terrible server admin.

Hey everyone, I realized that I haven't seen the server in my Twitter feed for a while so I thought I'd check on it. Yea, it apparently needed updated and I didn't realize it...sorry about that. So, it's updated and ready for all of you fine people to do things that are awesome on it.

Server Updated to 1.0.0!!!

The server has been updated! I hope it's alright with everyone that I started a whole new world. I figured that there have been so many updates and that this was a really really REALLY big one so it merited a whole new world.

Server Rebooted

Hey everyone, we had a power outage this morning and the server went down (if you didn't notice then disregard). It's back up now. =D

Let the Adventure Begin!

Hey everyone, the server has been updated to 1.8.

I also was figuring that since so much has changed since we first created this world that I would at some point in the fairly near future generate a brand new world for us. I don't think I'll be able to put something together as cool as our last move for those that were there for it, but I can keep everyone's inventory through the transfer. I won't do it without giving you guys a heads up, but I wanted to give you some time to openly protest the change if that's your thing.

Hey, Server's Back Up....Again...

The storm last night rocked the server's world, so it's back up now...sorry about that guys.

I really should figure out an automated way of notifying me if the server goes down...hmm, adding that to the checklist. :D

Holy hell! I didn't realize the server was down for nearly a week. My apologies!! It is back up now!

Server Status

Hey everyone,

I'm not really sure what's up with the server at the moment, it keeps throwing a java exception. I'm assuming that there's something wrong with the map files. Notch said something about having another update (1.7.2) today so I'm going to see if that fixes the issue, if it doesn't then we may have to restore a previous backup.

Pistons Are Cleared For Takeoff! Server 1.7_01 Update!

All sorts of good things are going on here, you've got pistons, shears (for the protection of the sheep), and taller fences. Oh boy!!

On a side note, I was trying to find a good mapping program to give you guys a map of the world and was having trouble finding one. If you guys know of one let me know and I'll post the map up.

I'm sorry to see this happen to peoples houses but i guess that is what happens you put a lava flow next to your wood house. I did manage to save most of the board walk! Did make for a good picture.

I like to be hopeful and think that people still read this (or at least have it in their rss feeds), but at the same time I think, "I never post here anymore, why would people read something if there is nothing to read?"

At any rate! We have an updated minecraft server now! With MAPS!!!

Server Downtime

Hey everyone, I know it has been forever since I've posted on here and it wouldn't surprise me if nobody is bothering to check here for updates anymore. All that means is that if you see this it is your responsibility to pass along the info. :)

The server will be down for a few hours on Saturday, March 12 around 1:00PM because we are switching ISPs and they are coming to set up the internet that day. The other side effect of this is that the IP for the server will likely be changing, so I'll update the blog header with the new IP when I find out what it is. I'm going to hope that the next ISP will continue to give us a static IP so that it won't be changing all the time, but if they don't I will update the automatic twitter feed @PureMinecraft to include the server IP.

Server Down

Looks like a tree decided to hamper a little of our fun by falling over and taking out a power line near my house. Let's hope the power isn't out for too long. :(
